It's not just a cheesy January meme... it's for real - 2018 is THE year to free your soul and go explore. My brilliant friend and fellow yoga teacher Kate Lister and I definitely have been feeling the wanderlust big time... so we hatched hatched a plan... the big getaway... BALI 2018.

With both of us leading this retreat we know we'll be able to create something magic in the most unbelievably gorgeous surroundings and we would absolutely LOVE for you to join us.

BALI IS CALLING

First off, you don't have to be a 'pro' yogi to come away on retreat. In fact it's a great place to get cracking with your practice, away from all the clutter and craziness of life at home.

In case you haven't already been (or googled it to death!) Bali is a lush, forested Indonesian island full of volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The temperature when we're there in October will average at a balmy 28c and the days are reliably sunny and blue-skied. 

This retreat will be a complete un-plug from those things which can weigh us down on the daily - phones, jobs, responsibilities - giving you some laid back, refreshing space to feel true freedom; where nothing is expected of you and anything is possible. This is not about making your hammies more flexible or deepening your backbend (although these are pretty likely side effects) it's about giving your mind, body and your soul space to breathe.

Who knows what could come out of a little chance to get back to YOU.

OUR HOME

We can't believe how lucky we've been to find this gem of a villa to call home for a whole week. Set within a sprawling landscape of native greenery and meandering waterways, this gorgeous oasis encompasses the tranquility and tropical essence which exotic getaway dreams are made of!

There are nine large double bedrooms, each with a huge bed, earthy wooden features, and the most amazing compilation of artefacts and treasures sourced from Indonesia and beyond. They are all en-suite with incredible bathrooms and every suite also has its own outdoors terrace.

Prices for the retreat are per person (see below) based on two people sharing a room and a queen-size bed. If you are coming in a group of three or more and would like to share a room together then we can add extra single beds to rooms to accommodate this. Also if you're coming along solo - which LOADS of people do as it's such a lovely way to make new friends - then we'll do our best to group you in with others who want to share too. You can also have an entire bedroom to yourself for a supplementary cost, just  POP ME A MESSAGE and I'll send you more details.

THE YOGA

Suzie and Kate have 8 years of teaching experience between them and have completed thousands of hours of training. They have been going to classes, doing trainings, and laughing uncontrollably together in London for a couple of years and it made perfect sense to explore their shared love of adventures, yoga and FREEDOM by leading their own retreat together to top-of-their-bucket-list destination Bali.

There will be a dynamic, energising Vinyasa yoga classes in the mornings and relaxing, soothing Yin yoga each evening. Classes are not mandatory, this is your holiday and you are free to do as much or as little as you please! Suzie and Kate will share the teaching each day, with one leading the class and the other either assisting - to give you more hands on help if you want it - or practicing together with the group.

We'll also offer up yoga workshops on some afternoons to breakdown certain postures or delve a bit deeper into elements of the practice and some days we'll hold workshops which resonate with our own individual passions, such as voice work and singing and expressive painting (no skills in any of these things required to get involved!) 

 

SUZIE & KATE

Suzie was unfortunately never a dancer or a gymnast - or even a very enthusiastic mover - instead finding meditation from getting lost in the flow of painting and creating. However, by her twenties she was somehow office bound and suffering from crippling back pain. She eventually staggered into a yoga class and despite being the least flexible person there, discovered how good her body could feel, how clear her mind could be, and how to get lost in a different kind of flow.  Suzie quit everything and trained as a Vinyasa yoga teacher and has been sharing what she knows and loves since 2015: a creative, transformative and playful yoga practice which helps the body and mind feel strong and spacious and the soul connect to an essence of truth and wellbeing, both on and off the yoga mat. Recently reconnected to her love of painting, Suzie is still astonished but so very grateful to have ended up where she is.

THE FOOD

Like all good people, we are total foodies and ensuring the food is delicious, veggie based and nourishing is a priority on this retreat! The villa has a team of amazing local chefs who will be making healthy wholesome breakfast, lunch and dinner for us everyday. There will be fish and seafood options for those who wish to eat fish, and we can accommodate any of your dietary requirements and requests if you let us know before hand. 

Meals will be shared together three times a day, and there will be the option to have a glass of wine at dinner if you wish. We don't want anyone to feel that they have to drink, but we know its nice to let your hair down with a glass of something in the evening so we wanted to make this an option.

WHAT ELSE?

During the day there will be loads of time to chill, chat and soak up the beautiful Bali sunshine. As you'll see in the photos there is so much space in this incredible oasis that if you want a bit of alone time you'll be able to find a quiet spot, but there are lots of cosy hang out spots to chill together if you want company.

The villa and surrounding grounds are so sprawling it's almost like we have a village to ourselves! But one afternoon we will take a trip out to the beach together. If you wish to take trips out at any time you are of course free to do so, and there is a concierge on site who can help you with any arrangements for this. 

We can also arrange massages and treatments if you wish to indulge and really treat yourself! These are not included in the retreat price and will be an additional cost.

We want to make this adventure as accessible as possible, so to take advantage of the early bird price we suggest these payment instalments: £300 immediate deposit to secure space | £300 paid by 1st May | £300 paid by 1st October

FLYING IN TO DENPASAR AIRPORT

The villa is about 40 mins from Denpasar airport and we will arrange and cover the transfers for you. Flights however are completely up to you to choose and book. At the moment prices are around £500 return from London, we recommend booking sooner rather than later!

There is a flight which leaves London on the morning of Friday 12th October and arrives one the morning of Saturday 13th October (with time difference) which would be perfect as we'll arrange a morning pick up from the airport. However, if you wish to travel out earlier and arrange a couple of nights in a hotel for yourself then that's of course an option too! Just let us know so we can coordinate transport to the villa on Saturday 13th October.

The same applies for the final day, October 20th. We will arrange transport for everyone back to the airport. Although we'll try to help and be flexible with transferswe can't unfortunately guarantee that we can transport everyone to different locations if you're doing some further travels.
